Jeremy DeWeerdt
Executive Director of focus.one,
& Lead Pastor of Rockford First
Jeremy DeWeerdt serves as the Lead Pastor of Rockford First, a church that is focused on three simple things: Loving God, People, and Life! Jeremy, along with his wife, Jen, accepted the Lead Pastor position in April of 2007, after having been on staff and active in Rockford First for more than 16 years.

Jeremy is the founder of the Rockford Master's Commission, soon becoming Focus. One, a ministry dedicated to raising up and equipping individuals who will impact our culture and change our world. Currently, Jeremy and Jen serve as the Executive Directors of the Rockford Master's Commission where, for the past 17 years, hundreds of students from all over the world have been transformed into Christ-followers by the power of God, ready to influence their world. Along with directing RMC, Jeremy and Jen were involved in leadership of, and Jeremy eventually directed, Cross Current Student Ministries. This ministry reached more than 1,000 middle school, high school, and college-aged students each week.

Together, they also founded a social sector organization called Earthbeat, Inc. Earthbeat is a non-profit organization that mobilizes youth and young adults to give back to their communities through volunteerism, especially related to environmental service projects. Earthbeat works with government organizations, youth initiative groups, and corporations to activate a generation of community conscious individuals.

God is doing amazing things at Rockford First. With a weekly average attendance of 2,000 people, more than 120 life groups, and countless lives changed each week, there is something new and exciting happening at Rockford First!

Jeremy is an Ordained Minister in the Assemblies of God since 1998. He is a founding member of both the Master's Commission International Network and Master's Commission European boards. As one of the founding members, Jeremy is active in providing oversight and direction to Master Commission programs all across the United States and Europe.

Jeremy and Jen have been married for 14 years and have two sons, Caden and Connor.

Taka Iguchi
director of focus.one

Taka Iguchi is director of the Rockford Masters Commission soon to be focus.one, a program devoted to the training and equipping of young cultural leaders . He has been a leader with the program for over 12 years, working with each area of the program at various times.   In April 2007, when the executive Director Jeremy DeWeerdt was elected to lead Pastor at Rockford FIrst, Jeremy asked Taka, who was serving on the staff, to assume the position of Director.  Ever since that day, Jeremy and Taka have been working together to create a seamless partnership between Rockford First and Rockford Masters Commission, to make a difference in the community of Rockford and around the world! God is doing amazing things at Rockford First. With a weekly average attendance of 2,000 people, more than 120 life groups, and countless lives changed each week, there is something new and exciting happening at Rockford First!

Both Taka and his wife Natalie have a deep desire to see young adults live out their faith and calling passionately in a culture that is void of Jesus' love.  This has been a heartbeat of theirs since they began serving as directors for the Rockford Masters Commission, soon to become Focus. One,  and also what has led into the starting of theFORUM, a young adult ministry of Rockford First where Taka serves as the Directional leader.  Since it's inception in 2008, theFORUM has grown from 0 to 200 under Taka's leadership.  Taka's driving hope he wants to instill in the young adults around him has become a life statement as he has lived out the one phrase he constantly asks students to internalize... "What if we lived like we REALLY believe God exists?"

Taka is also committed to training future leaders of both culture and ministry, and serves on several different boards where he is asked to to provide input and mentorship, including: Rockford First Directional Team, Masters Commission Europe Board, Masters Commission International Network Board, and Earthbeat, INC Board.  Taka's desire for each of these programs is to see young people raised up as world changers, and people who impact this world for the kingdom of God.

Taka is a credentialed minister in the assemblies of God since 1999, and is thrilled to devote his life to God's work. He and his wife Natalie have been married since 2004, and have two daughters, Brooklyn and Kaia.
